We asked you what you wanted to see more of here on the blog, and the answer was more contests! Here at Storage Unit Auction List, we live to please. We love hearing from you and getting your feedback, and we agree that it has been far to long since the last contest!
Which is why we’re excited to announce a new contest! The theme of the contest: Show Us Your Stuff! In our last contest, we asked you to show us your favorite/best finds. This go around, it’s quantity over quality. We want to see which one of you has the largest amount of loot won at storage auctions.

This is where you come in. Get out those cameras and get busy! Send us one picture showing off your collection. Whether your garage is overflowing, or you’ve taken our advice and neatly organized everything, we want to take a look at everything you currently own that you won as part of a storage unit auction! And we do mean everything, the good, the bad and everything in between.
Submissions will be accepted until Friday, April 5th. The following Monday the 8th, we’ll post all submissions to our Facebook page and voting will begin. The winners will be determined based on these votes. Voting will end on Friday, April 12th. So make sure to stay active on the Facebook page to see how many votes you’re getting! In the spirit of healthy competition, we also suggest campaigning and stating your case on the Facebook wall!
Last time, we offered some great prizes, but this time, we’re upping the ante. Based on the Facebook page votes, we’ll have be giving away prizes to the top three participants.

Like I said, we really brought our A-Game this time. All you have to do is email us one picture and you could be a winner! And don’t worry! If you’re already subscribed with us, your winning subscription will be added to your current one!
HOW TO ENTER:
EMAIL A PHOTO OF YOUR COLLECTION TO [email protected], and include the following information:
1. Your full name and phone number (we won’t share your number with anyone; it will only be used to contact the winners).
2. A brief description of your photo and why you chose it.
1. Only one entry per person, so make sure you send us your best shots! You can send a collage of several photos, as long as it all belongs to you!
2. We will not accept photos that contain or imply anything that is offensive, vulgar, or in any way explicit. Keep it family friendly!
3. Entries must be emailed and must contain the aforementioned information from “HOW TO ENTER”.
4. The submitted photo must belong to you. Photos that do not belong to you or were taken from another source will be disqualified.
DEADLINES AND JUDGING PERIOD:
All photos must be received by Friday, April 5th 2013. Voting will begin on the Storage Unit Auction List Facebook page on Monday, November 12th and will continue until the following Monday, April 8th. Make sure you like us on Facebook if you want to participate in voting!
Voters will choose their favorite photo by “liking” it on Facebook. The photos with the most likes will be declared the winners.
THE FINE PRINT:
1.) Contest open only to legal residents of the United States. Participants must also be at least eighteen (18) years of age. If you do not meet any of these requirements, or any other eligibility requirements in these official rules, then you are not eligible to participate in this contest.
2.) All photographs must be submitted digitally to [email protected]
3.) By entering this contest, you warrant and represent that all photographs you submit are your own original work, do not infringe upon any copyright, invade any right of privacy, contain any defamatory, libelous or slanderous material, or violate any other right of any person or entity, and are not otherwise contrary to law.
4.) For any photograph submitted in which a person is recognizable, you must secure a release from the subject or, in the case of a minor, the subject’s parent or guardian and, upon request, provide it to Storage Unit Auction List.
5.) Storage Unit Auction List has no obligation to publish or use or retain any photographs you submit or to return any photographs to you.
6.) Each participant may submit one (1) entry. Any entry received after the limit is reached will be disqualified.
7.) Disclaimer. Storage Unit Auction List will not be responsible for: (a) any late, lost, misrouted, garbled, distorted, or damaged transmissions or entries; (b) telephone, electronic, hardware, software, network, Internet, or other computer or communications related malfunctions or failures; (c) any contest disruptions, injuries, losses or damages caused by events beyond the control of Storage Unit Auction List or by non-authorized human intervention; or (d) any printing or typographical errors in any materials associated with the contest.
8.) All photographs must be received between Thursday, March 21st 2013, and Friday, April 5th 2013
9.) By entering the contest, entrants grant Storage Unit Auction List a royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual, non-exclusive license to reproduce, display, distribute, and create derivative works of the entries, in whole or in part, in any media now existing or subsequently developed, for any educational, promotional, publicity, exhibition, archival, scholarly and all other purposes. Any photograph reproduced will include a photographer credit as feasible. Storage Unit Auction List will not be required to seek any additional approval in connection with such uses.
10.) You agree that it is your sole responsibility to obtain all permissions necessary for the grant of the rights contained in paragraph 9. You also agree, as a condition of being awarded any prize in the contest, to take, at Storage Unit Auction List’s request, any further action (including, without limitation, execution of assignments, transfers, affidavits and other documents) reasonably necessary, as requested by Storage Unit Auction List, to effect, perfect, or confirm Storage Unit Auction List’s rights in and to your photograph or other rights granted in these rules.
11.) You further grant Storage Unit Auction List the right to use information that you provide as part of your submission, including your name and contact information for the following purposes: 1) Contact information will only be used to notify you in the event that you are selected a finalist for this contest; and 2) Name may be announced to the public in connection with winning and/or finalist photographs.
12.) No Confidentiality. Photographs submitted to Storage Unit Auction List will not be treated as confidential, and by entering this contest and submitting photographs, you represent and warrant that the photographs do not include or disclose any trade secrets, proprietary information or other confidential information.
13.) General Release. By entering the contest, you release and hold harmless Storage Unit Auction List from any liability whatsoever, and waive any and all causes of action, related to any claims, cost, injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with the contest or delivery, misdelivery, acceptance, possession, use of or inability to use any prize (including, without limitation, claims, costs, injuries, losses and damages related to personal injuries, death, damage to or destruction of property, rights of publicity or privacy, defamation or portrayal in a false light, whether intentional or unintentional), whether under a theory of contract, tort (including negligence), warranty or other theory.
14.) Miscellaneous. The contest and these Full Contest Rules will be governed, construed and interpreted under federal laws. Entrants agree to be bound by these Full Contest Rules and by the decisions of Storage Unit Auction List, which are final and binding in all respects. Storage Unit Auction List reserves the right to change these Full Contest Rules at any time, in its sole discretion, and to suspend, cancel, postpone or extend the contest or any entrant’s participation in the contest should viruses, bugs, unauthorized human intervention or other causes beyond Storage Unit Auction List’s control affect the administration, security or proper play of the contest or Storage Unit Auction List otherwise becomes (as determined in its sole discretion) incapable of running the contest as planned. Entrants who violate or fail to comply with these Full Contest Rules, violate any law, rule or regulation in connection with participation in the contest, tamper with the operation of the contest, or engage in any conduct that is detrimental or unfair to Storage Unit Auction List, the contest or any other entrant (in each case as determined in Storage Unit Auction List’s sole discretion), are subject to disqualification from entry into the contest.
